About

Lewis Todd is an independent composer, writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. His musical interests range across all forms of alternative and experimental music. Stylistically, he counterposes contemporary influences with an avid passion for colourful harmony, expansive melodies, and rhythmical intricacy.

Since completing his doctoral research at Cambridge in 2024, Lewis has collaborated with various musical and visual artists, as well as filmmakers, photographers, galleries and museums, and his work has been performed recently in London, Paris and New York.

Described as ‘a huge, emotional burst of sound’ (Slow Dance), ‘a fresh sonic world’ (Middle Farm Studios), and ‘somehow more than music and lyrics (Lafayette Anticipations), Lewis’s music has gained a reputation for its edge, verve, and communicativeness.

As well as composing and producing, Lewis also fronts and the acclaimed experimental outfit Big Huge New Circle and occasionally publishes poetry.
